On February 10th, MAAA members gathered for a Strategic Planning session at InnoFEIT at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje. The main aims of this year`s strategic planning were the following: working on and planning new methods and approaches for members' engagement and networking, sharing ideas for new projects, developing strategies for reaching the community, and planning cooperation with domestic and international organizations.
The event was opened by MAAA`s President Ms. Zorica Trajkova Strezovska. After her welcoming remarks, Ms. Dolores Prin, Public Affairs Officer at the US Embassy, greeted the attendees by expressing her satisfaction with MAAA’s work so far and suggested that MAAA and its members should utilize all available means to make a greater positive impact on society.
After the remarks the participants were divided into four committees (teams), each focusing on the four main areas of MAAA's work: members' engagement and networking, projects, community outreach, and cooperation with domestic and international organizations. The teams worked hard to project their thoughts and ideas, which were later on presented and discussed with all participants. Each team presented a variety of ideas, leveraging their professional expertise to enhance further development of the project. Numerous inspirational and innovative suggestions were proposed and the MAAA Board will incorporate those into the strategic planning of its future activities. The members of the MAAA have once again demonstrated their unwavering dedication to the organization's development, solidifying its role as a professional entity that strengthens ties between the USA and North Macedonia.
The strategic planning event was initiated by MAAA`s esteemed member Biljana Smilkova Jovanovska within her small grant project.
