Guskarovska’s Academic Triumphs: Pioneering Educational Resources and Advancing Language Learning

Agata Guskaroska

Agata Guskaroska has recently published an Open Educational Resource (OER) book designed to support English teachers worldwide. This groundbreaking resource, made possible through grant funding, is freely accessible online and integrates interactive H5P activities that provide immediate feedback on learners’ pronunciation skills. The book, available here, can be accessed on web browsers, phones, and tablets, enabling seamless use of interactive features. Agata also presented the book at an international conference this month. In addition to this publication, Agata recently defended her dissertation, completing the Ph.D. studies on May 31.

Agata has also been involved as an assistant editor for a forthcoming book on the use of artificial intelligence in applied linguistics. Furthermore, she is the lead author of two additional OER books currently in development: one centered on interactive pronunciation improvement activities and the other on oral communication skills. All three books aim to provide free, accessible resources to English language learners and educators globally.

Continuing in academia, Agata will serve as a postdoctoral researcher for another year at Iowa State University. In this role, they will be developing a new English language learning program tailored for incoming international students, further leveraging their expertise in applied linguistics and language education.
