MAAA stays dedicated to its objective to strengthen the cooperation with Macedonian universities and to function as a bridge organization between the country’s higher educational institutions and U.S. universities. In that sense, on 18th March, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by the president of the Macedonian-American alumni association, Mrs. Verica Jordanova and the rector of the University Goce Delčev, Štip, Prof. Dr. Blažo Boev, in the rectorate of the university in Štip.

In addition, on 19th April, at the South East European University in Tetovo, another memorandum of cooperation was signed between Mrs. Jordanova and the rector of the South East European University Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti.

Both events were attended by the universities’ pro-rectors, as well as by the Board members Dr. Bashkim Ziberi and Dr. Zorica Trajkova Strezovska, and Mr. Gazmend Ilazi, the Exchange and Alumni Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje.

On both occasions, the parties expressed their satisfaction from the established cooperation and their willingness to take part in different activities, like debates, projects and trainings, which will help the academic staff to get better acquainted with the U.S. educational programs, the possibilities for mobility and joint research projects with their colleagues from the universities in the U.S.A.
