On May 10, 2019 the Executive Board of the European Network of American Alumni Associations
(ENAM) held a meeting at the US Embassy in Athens at the invitation of Ms. Tonia Arahova, the
newly elected secretary general of the Network. MAAA President and Board member, prof. dr.
Miso Dokmanovic attended the meeting along with other members of the Board.
The discussions were focused on future initiatives as well as reorganization and restructuring
of the organization, new visibility approaches and policies. In addition, later the same day,
the members of the Board participated in a debate on the importance of transatlantic
partnership in light of the EU elections.

ENAM is a permanent coordination unit of the American Alumni Associations whose mission is to
strengthen networking and collaboration amongst its member associations, facilitate their
active participation in U.S. State Department alumni community initiatives, and promote common
values shared by alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs worldwide. It currently
counts 58 American Alumni Associations across Eurasia. MAAA is a founding member of the
network.
