"Digital Skills for Civic Involvement" closing conference

On the 10th of October 2022, the closing conference of the "Digital Skills for Civic Involvement" project was held, which was implemented last year by MAAA together with Blink 42-21 and with the support of the US Embassy. In a great atmosphere, in the presence of a large number of young people, several initiatives for civic engagement implemented by youth teams were presented, under the mentorship of our members: Ivan Durgutov and professors Sanja Šankovska, Mira Bećar and Dragana Gjorevska.

The event was opened with welcoming speeches by Verica Jordanova, president of MAAA and Milan Tanchevski, executive director of Blink42-21, and we had the honor and pleasure of being greeted by Mrs. Marlene Nice, head of the public affairs department at the US Embassy.

Within the framework of the conference, a panel discussion was held on the importance of digital skills, conditions and opportunities for education and training in the Republic of North Macedonia, which was moderated by: Bojan Kordalov, expert on digitalization and member of MAAA. Panelists Milan Tanceski, executive director of Blink 42-21, Vesna Ivanoska, deputy president of the MASIT Board of Directors, Dejan Zlatkovski, project manager at UNPD, Azir Aliu, university representative and head of Future Skills Center Tetovo, Dr. Dimitar Jovevski, professor from the department of e-business at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje and Mila Josifovska Danilovska, program coordinator at the Foundation for Internet and Society "Metamorphosis" shared interesting information with the young people, after which a fruitful discussion developed.
